Bread Care Guide
Thank you for choosing our house-made sourdough bread from Tangle Wood Urban Farms! To enjoy the best flavor and texture, here’s how to properly store and care for your bread.
-
Short-Term (1–2 days): Store your bread at room temperature in a paper bag or bread box to maintain crusty texture.
Medium-Term (Up to 1 week): Wrap your bread in a clean kitchen towel or place it in a bread box. Avoid plastic bags as they trap moisture, leading to a chewy crust.
Long-Term (More than a week): Slice your bread and freeze it in an airtight container or freezer bag. Thaw at room temperature or toast directly from frozen.
-
To refresh your bread, lightly spritz it with water and place it in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5–10 minutes.
For a crispy crust, bake without covering the bread during reheating.
-
Avoid storing bread in the refrigerator; it causes the bread to dry out more quickly.
For the best taste, consume your bread within 3–5 days of purchase.
